Students

Grace Students

Every Sunday evening, our student ministry meets together to hear gospel-centered teaching from God’s word and share life together in small groups.

Students also spend time having fun and building relationships with one another through organized games and scheduled events and outings throughout the year. Our desire as a church is to come alongside and equip parents as they encourage and disciple their children through their teen years in the gospel of Christ.

CURRENT TEACHING SERIES

Join us on Sunday nights this Fall as we learn about what God’s Word has to say about your emotions.
We will look at anger, sadness, happiness, fear, disgust, surprise, & apathy.
God made your emotions, but your emotions are not your god.

CORE VALUES

We desire all students to have a robust understanding of the gospel and a vibrant faith that continues on and grows after they graduate from high school. This hope is made possible through the faithful discipleship of students by their parents as well as their church family. As a result, we have four core values that we hold with conviction as we come alongside parents, seeking to nurture and inspire authentic faith in the students God has entrusted us in this life.

Proclaim Christ

Jesus Christ is the one and only Lord and Savior. He is the good and gracious Sovereign King who brings newness of life. The greatest news a parent or student can ever hear is that the God of the Universe has come to save them and mankind from sickness, sin, and death. At Grace Students, there is one message that is always proclaimed in the teaching time, in our prayers, or the songs we sing: the gospel. “Jesus came into the world to save sinners.” (1 Timothy 1:15; John 3:16; Romans 5:8, 6:23; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:8-10; Revelation 21:5)

Prepare Disciples

Jesus’ closest followers were called his disciples. To be a Christian has always meant to be a disciple of Christ that faithfully trusts and obeys the word and will of God. At Grace Students, we prepare parents and students to be disciples of Christ by regularly teaching them the Scriptures and intentionally training them to effectively live and share their faith (Matthew 4:19-20, 16:24-28; Luke 6:40; John 8:31-32; 2 Timothy 2:2, 15)

Participate in Community

God created us to enjoy life together in community with one another. When Jesus saves us, we are adopted into the family of God. In the church, parents should not feel like they are alone in navigating the teen years and neither should their kids. We encourage our families and students to grow deep in relationships by sharing meals and celebrating milestones, having fun together, and being willing to cry and bear burdens with one another in the midst of suffering and heartache. (Acts 2:42-27; Romans 12:9-16; 1 Thessalonians 2:8; Hebrews 10:24-25)

Practice Mission and Mercy

The glory and power of God has been displayed to us in the Gospel of Christ. This good news results in changed lives of parents and students alike. In response to this glory we’ve been shown, our parents and students minister to a hurting world, both locally and globally, through acts of service and by bearing witness to the grace and mercy they’ve been shown. (John 13:1-17; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:14-15)
