Call to WorshipGod calls us into his presence to worship him.  We gather together to hear him speak to us through his word.

Dear Father, Thank you that you make all things new in Christ. We thank you for the power and the victory of the cross. We are thankful that you hold the keys over death, that by your might, Jesus was raised from the grave, making it possible for us to have new life in Him. We ask that your Spirit fill our hearts with joy as we glorify and worship Christ, our risen Lord! Amen.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God. -John 11:24-27

BenedictionGod sends us into the world, sanctified by his word.

May the grace of God continue to train you to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, to live self-controlled and godly lives in this present age as you wait for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works. -From Titus 2:11-14

What is Baptism?

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are the two ordinances given to the church by the Lord Jesus Christ as signs of the spiritual realities in our life.

Baptism signifies our adoption into Christ, our fellowship with Christ in his death, burial, and resurrection, our remission of sins, and our giving up into God, through Jesus Christ, to live and walk in newness of life. Together, Baptism and the Lord’s Supper point to what God has done for us, through us, and to us.

Baptism does not bring about salvation but receiving it is an act of obedience to Christ’s command to his church.
